Uwe was asking if books have to be square? He ferreted out this little online treasure: the round book of Prince-Bishop Julius Echter.
The bibliophile preciosity is said to be the only known round book of the Renaissance and belongs to the university library of Wuerzburg.
They gave it an online stage, too, including a PDF full of information around the book (in German) and an animation which you shouldn't miss!
